Secretary Lyttelton to refer to your letter of the 4th December, 1951, about Mrs. Carr and to say that this lady's address was sent to the National Assistance Board, who have commented on the case as in the letter attached. It is hoped that this letter contains sufficient information to enable your Committes to decide upon the case and it would be appreciated if you could kindly say whether there has in fact been some mis- understanding about the 27/6d. a weak paid to Mrs. Carr from "another fund",
